The MOON 791 combines a high-grade analog preamplifier, a full-featured DAC, and a MiND 2-based network player. It serves as the heart of a system for listeners who want total control without altering the signal. The M-VOL3 analog volume control ensures constant resolution, free from noise or imbalance, even at low levels. Dual-mono configuration and isolated power supplies maintain strict separation between stages, preserving a stable and transparent soundstage.
Processing and Transparency
The MDE2 digital module handles PCM up to 384 kHz and DSD up to 22.6 MHz (DSD512), with transparent, uncolored signal processing. The MiND 2 platform enables seamless playback from online services and local libraries, with support for Roon Ready, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, and Bluetooth aptX. The M-VOL3 analog volume control ensures precise level management at both high and low output. Daily interaction is handled through the BRM-1 remote, designed to offer direct access to essentials — no distraction, no delay. All circuits are physically and electrically isolated to preserve long-term clarity and stability.
Central Connectivity
The MOON 791 includes five analog inputs (including two XLR), six digital inputs (USB audio, HDMI ARC, AES/EBU, optical, coaxial), and two analog outputs (RCA and XLR). Its 4.3" color display provides clear feedback on source, format, and album art. It integrates naturally with the MOON 761 via MOONLink for unified system operation. Every connection and control respects a consistent, understated logic — whether in an all-MOON setup or a hybrid installation.
